Description: KBA territory is a mountainous area, covering the Echkiluu gorges, foothills of the Chon-Tuyuk, the Kichi-Tuyuk and others.
Right-bank tributary of the Talas-Nyldу River, which is fed by snow, runs through the area. The Nyldу river basin area is 281 sq. km, average long-term consumption is 0.72 cubic meters. m / s., and annual flow is 22.7 million cubic meters.

There are a large number of springs in KBA in the area of Echkili - Toosky uplift. Mineralization of spring water is negligible everywhere. Dense residue is usually no more than 0,5-1 liter per second. Hydrocarbonate-sulphate-calcium-sodium is a type of mineralization of Echkili - Toosky uplift. Mineralization of spring water is negligible everywhere. Solid residue is usually no more than 0.5–1 liter per second. This type of mineralization is hydrocarbonate-sulfate-calcium-sodium.

Its own vegetation characterizes different heights in KBA. Widow grass prevails in vegetation cover in pseudosteppe vegetation at absolute heights of 700-1200 m. There is tenir-toss widow grass, Alatoo prickly thrift (Acantholimon), zhambyl hedysarum and acanaceous sainfoin. Ephemeras and ephemeroids predominate in spring and widow grass is the background in summer. Steppe vegetation is common in low and middle mountains at altitudes of 1300-2300 m.

More than 40 species of steppe plants are found within the valley. Mat grass, sheep’s fescue, sedge and beard grass predominate among them. Shrubs are widespread in some places. Meadow-steppe vegetation grows at altitudes of 2300-2800 m. There are more than 70 plant species. There are spruce, juniper and fir forests on the steep slopes of mountains at altitudes of 2200-3200 m. Mountain ash, hawthorn, meadowsweet, rose hips are found here. Willow-birch and shrub forests are commonly met in the floodplains of the Nylda River.

Meadow vegetation in Nyldy forms small massifs. Subalpine meadows are found in the northern mountain slopes, at absolute heights of 2600-3100 m. The following plant formations predominate: Pooideae family representatives, Sparganiaceae representatives, Alchemilla representatives and Flemis. Shemur, Geranium and Altai trollius are also widespread. Alpine meadows are developed at altitudes of 3300-3800 m. Main background is represented by kobresia formations. Potentilla, meadow-grass, geranium, sedge, primrose are also found there.

Ecology: Upon mountains direction into the Talas valley, waters of its tributaries are taken by canals, and riverbeds in the valley area remain practically dry for most of the year the, filling with water only during floods. The area where Nyldy-Ata, the famous Talas shrine is located is under threat. The gorge is large and not isolated, that is why cattle often graze in the vicinity, and overgrazing leads to soil destruction: mudflows are a frequent occurrence here. Animal herds also often pollute streams.
